In premises of Primay School Vladimir Nazor Virovitica there was kick off conference of project „Erasing Borders with Music“ that was approved under Interreg V-a Hungary – Croatia Co-operation Programme 2014.-2020.
Project Applicant for the Interreg V-A Cross-Border Cooperation Program Hungary-Croatia 2014 - 2020 is the school from Virovitica, the Primary School Vladimir Nazor Virovitica, and the project partners of these project are Croatian Nursery, Elementary and Secondary School and Students Hostel “Miroslav Krleža” Pecs and Music School Jan Vlašimsky Virovitica. The total value of the project, developed by the Development Agency VTA is 138.052,43€. Through the 12 project activities main objective is to improve the role of educational institutions as intellectual centers for increasing the level of knowledge in the region.
The expected results are the increase of awareness among children about the common musical and cultural values of the cross-border area and the development of feelings of belonging to the community regardless the borders. On the kick off conference there were representatives of partner schools, Mrs. Sanjica Samac, Director of the Primary School Vladimir Nazor Virovitica as the presenter of Project, Mr. Damir Mihaljević, Director of the Music School "Jan Vlašimsky" Virovitica and Mr. Gabor Györvári the Head of Institution of Croatian Nursery, Elementary and Secondary School and Students Hostel “Miroslav Krleža” Pecs , then Mrs. Tihana Harmund, Director of the Development Agency VTA, Mrs.Vlasta Honjek-Golinac as representatives of Mayor and The city of Virovitica, Mr. Alen Bjelica as representatives of The City of Virovitica, and Mrs. Antonija Bedeniković, Program and Communication Manager from the Joint Secretariat of Interreg Cross-border Program, as well as lot of other guests and students of three schools.
